What type of mom are you?  As moms, we all experience fear, anger, and shame or guilt but did you know that some enneagram types experience one of these three more than the other two?  It influences the type of mom we naturally are.  And when you know the type of mom you naturally are, you can lean into your strengths and be the best mom (and actually enjoy the journey!).

For this episode, I am joined by Erin Slutsky from Mom Sense Coaching. She is a nurse, an accredited Enneagram practitioner, and MOPS International mentor and coach with 20 years of experience. She understands child development and family dynamics.  Through MomSense Coaching, she highlights your strengths and shares specific ways you can use your natural tendencies to become a more comfortable and confident mom.

Ok working moms, I think we can agree that parenting can be exhausting.  And when you consider that it's the most important job that we have but have so many other things on our plates, it can be a challenge to try to give it our best all of the time.  But what if it didn't have to be that way?

In this episode, I am talking with parenting expert Rachel Bailey and she shares 3 tips on how to make parenting less exhausting while giving your kids exactly what they need.

Rachel Bailey is a Parenting Specialist who has been serving families for over a decade. Besides being a mother of two, she also has a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, a certification in Positive Discipline, and has provided services as an ADHD Coach, in-home mentor, and therapist. Currently, Rachel teaches parents practical, longterm tools for raising responsible, resilient, confident children... while reducing the stress and guilt in parents' lives.

Her tips:

  • Tip 1: Shift your mindset about kids' behavior to save energy AND foster more responsible, respectful behavior
  • Tip 2: Stop in-the-moment parenting; taking a few specific proactive steps will save time and increase kids' resilience and self-esteem
  • Tip 3: Focus on "self-treatment" instead of "self-care." Self-treatment takes less time and has more impact on both you and your kids.

Today, we are talking about how to set up the right structures to help you be successful to reach your goals, implement systems for balance, and really keeping you moving toward where you want to go as a working mom.

We are specifically going to be talking about this as it pertains to one of my favorite systems, weekly prep.

Weekly prep is one of the key systems that we talk about in helping you achieve balance.  I so totally believe in this system, that I teach you how to do it totally for free in our Weekly Success Planning course that you can find inside the Your Life Rocks app or by going to Weekly success Planning.com

Yes, we all know that we should observe the Sabbath and keep it holy.  And yes, we all are living incredibly busy lives and if you are like me, it is hard to stop and take the time to rest.

In this episode, we are diving into this topic.  While we usually are talking about how to get more done as a working mom....but this is an important topic for us to dive into.

I am joined by organizational change management expert and author of Oasis in Time, Marilyn Paul.  She walks us through not only the importance of taking the time to stop and connect but also the steps to making this a reality for you in your life.
